SecureVault backup tier options

Clumio SecureVault Backups represent full, standalone, backups of your assets. These backups are stored within Clumio's air-gapped and immutable storage, providing maximum security for your data.

SecureVault backup tier options for EC2/EBS

Clumio now offers a SecureVault Lite backup tier in addition to the SecureVault Standard backup tier. SecureVault Lite delivers air gap ransomware protection that is cost-effective, helps meet compliance requirements, and enables rapid recovery of Amazon EC2 instances, or Amazon EBS volumes to any AWS account. The following table contains a comparison between Clumio's SecureVault Lite and SecureVault Standard tiers for EC2/EBS.

  • SecureVault Lite provides air gap ransomware protection for a lower cost as compared to AWS local snapshots*. 
  • SecureVault Lite tier restores incur a minor cost while SecureVault standard tier provides unlimited free restores of your backups.
  • SecureVault Lite enforces a minimum 30-day retention period for backups.

  • Customers must be fully ramped on Clumio
  • Price comparisons are listed without any discounts
  • Daily change rate of 3%, monthly change rate of 20%, with an annual growth rate of 20%

SecureVault backup tier options for RDS

Clumio offers two different SecureVault backup tier options for RDS SecureVault Standard and SecureVault Archive .

Your use case should determine how long you want to retain your backups and which storage tier to use to store those backups. For example if you do not use the logical data retrieval capability and your workloads demand quick recovery from operational disruptions, you should choose RDS SecureVault Standard. If your data needs to be retained for more than 3 months, or you use the logical data retrieval capability, you should choose RDS SecureVault Archive.

SecureVault backup tier options for S3

Clumio offers two different SecureVault backup tier options for S3; SecureVault Standard and SecureVault Archive .

Your use case should determine how long you want to retain your backups and which storage tier to use to store those backups. For example, in a ransomware use case, you could choose to store your data in Standard Tier for three months, whereas for archival use you could choose to store data in Frozen Tier for several years. The following table contains a comparison between the standard and frozen tiers.
