Error: File-level restore extract compressed (zipped) folder failure

Symptoms

When a File-level Restore is completed, a Zipped (.zip) file is made available for download via the Clumio UI. Users who attempt to decompress the downloaded .zip file via Windows may notice that the resulting file is empty or encounter the following error:

Compressed (zipped) Folders Error

Windows cannot complete the extraction.

The Compressed (zipped) Folder '{PATH/NAME}' is invalid.

Resolution

The default Windows utility has known capability issues with the .zip format used by Clumio. To workaround this issue, users should decompress the .zip folder using WinRAR or 7-Zip utilities.
