Early deletion fees

Clumio provides different storage tier options to backup various asset types. Some of these backup storage tiers are optimized for long term retention and have minimum retention periods. Early deletion fees will apply if the retention period for a selected tier is configured below the minimum period and are effective immediately at the time of deletion

RDS early deletion fees

If you choose to store your RDS backups in the SecureVault Archive tier, there is a minimum retention period of 1 year. If you set your backup policy retention period for this tier for less than 1 year, or you choose to purge a backup from the SecureVault Archive tier before the 1 year minimum period, you will still be charged for the full year.

S3 early deletion fees

S3 SecureVault Archive has a minimum retention period of 180 days. S3 SecureVault Standard tier has a minimum retention period of 30 days.
If you set your backup policy retention period for S3 SecureVault Archive for less than 180 days, or you choose to purge a backup before the minimum retention period, you will still be charged for the full period for that tier.
