Error: vCenter Task message "Reconfigure virtual machine"

Symptoms

Customers with the Clumio Connector deployed in their VMware environment may notice the following tasks in their vCenter Task list:

Task Name: Reconfigure virtual machine

Target: {Clumio Connector VM Name}

Cause and Resolution

During a Clumio backup, target VM snapshots are mounted to the Connector VM in read-only mode and subsequently removed as part of the backup. The "Reconfigure virtual machine" tasks are normally seen as a result of the backup operation and are considered to be normal.
